Specific Skills
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or Data Engineer in production
- Must have: Strong hands-on experience with Azure (AI, ML, Data, and cloud services).
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, orchestration, and ML workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Solid knowledge of data science fundamentals, including modeling, experimentation, and statistics.
- Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar).
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks and context engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and working with large-scale datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable AI solutions.
Responsible For
· Design, build, and optimize AI workflows leveraging Azure AI, Data Foundry, and other cloud-native services.
· Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML applications, ensuring reliable deployment and monitoring.
· Work with LLM ensembles and LLM-as-a-Judge frameworks for evaluation and performance optimization.
· Implement context engineering strategies for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and other LLM-based applications.
· Develop and execute evals to measure AI system effectiveness, fairness, and accuracy.
· Contribute to AI orchestration efforts, integrating models, APIs, and data pipelines.
· Work with structured and unstructured data using SQL and Python-based data science frameworks.
· Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions.

Educational Requirements
- Education: A Bachelorâs degree or certification in Product Design, IT, Graphic Design, Web Design, UI/UX Design, Product Design or a related field will give you a good edge.Â
- Relevant work experience: This is an entry-level designer position so anywhere from 6 months to 2 years is good.Â
- Portfolio: Don’t be afraid to share some of your work, be it fictitious projects, internship projects or anything that can give us a sense of what you can do.Â
- Languages: Good verbal and written communication and the ability to work as a member of a team.Â
- Location: Ability to physically come to an office in Kampala.Â
